Slow down right now! We insist. It’s the only way to enjoy our hearty, honest, soul food prepared with love by the owners of the Gabriëlskloof restaurant, Frans Groenewald and Juan van der Westhuizen.

As with our wines, we are passionate about everything local and source all our produce from neighbouring towns and villages. So, yes, our menu changes regularly, and no, we don’t know specifically what’s going to be on it next month. But you will definitely get good, no-fuss homemade food made from the freshest ingredients.

Of course our local food goes hand-in-hand with the region’s wine. Gabriëlskloof wine is available by the glass and at cellar door prices. We also stock a selection of our favourite Bot River wines and are always happy to suggest the perfect wine to go with your meal.

Stop by for a hearty breakfast before a morning of wine tasting; or while away a leisurely afternoon on our stoep.

Across from the restaurant is a small chapel, making it the perfect intimate wedding venue. Drop us a line with your requirements or to arrange a visit.
