Originally intended to be decorative, the olives and lavender have thrived in the valley and we now make oil from both. The olive groves are right at home in the cool Mediterranean climate that is so kind to our grapes. A mix of Coratina, Frantoio and Leccino olive trees grow on the sunny Gabriëlskloof slopes. The fruit is small with intense flavour, hand-picked and then cold-pressed to produce boutique quality extra virgin olive oil. You can taste and buy the oil during your wine tasting, and don’t forget to pick up some of our other olive products from the restaurant’s deli. |
